What’s Cookin’?

I love to cook, bake, eat – if it involves food, I’m totally there.

It bums me out that I don’t cook as much as I would like – my life tends to get so crazy, between taking care of my girls, trying to be the wife I think my hubby wants (even though he says he’s fine with how I am…), and constantly cleaning my {disastrous} house.

However, because my life is always so busy, I feel like we constantly eat the same things. We typically rotate out the following menu, pretty randomly:

  • Pasta (of any kind)
  • Domino’s Pizza
  • Tacos
  • Crockpot Chicken (of whatever kind)

I think this is a pretty sad menu. The even sadder part is that I’m a really good cook (and baker, but that just adds too much to my waistline)! I feel so guilty for not being “Suzy Homemaker”, and I feel even more guilty that the food I generally make is not always the healthiest of options.

And, so, I have decided to start {hopefully} posting at least one recipe a week {whether it is breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, or dessert}. Hopefully this will help me to begin “spicing up” my menu! If nothing else, it will hold me accountable to making at least one new meal each week. :-)

Eventually, I would like to start dabbling in “Clean Eating” – we’ll see how that goes later on…
