Handmade Happy Hour

We’re busy potty training over here, so I may be a little sporadic in posting this week.

But, here is the feature from last week’s Handmade Happy Hour!

Tulle Wreath

Seriously? How adorable. I see a trip to Hobby Lobby in my future… (as if I need a reason).

A few reminders before linking up for this weeks’ Handmade Happy Hour Linky Party:

  • You must link to the actual craft, recipe, tutorial, DIY project, etc., NOT your blog address or shop
  • Please do not link to a giveaway (or a post with an active giveaway) on your blog
  • Comment love is always appreciated, so head over to your favorite link-up ideas and say hi (it’s also a great way to meet new people and make new friends!)
  • You don’t have to post my button anywhere, but it is available if you would like
Polka Dots and Lemonade

  • If you do link up a project (or 2 or 3!) I do ask that you please follow this blog via, RSS feed, or Bloglovin’ :-)

I would love it if you shared the Handmade Happy Hour with your friends on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, or even your own blog. That just means more views for your creativity!

Oh, and did you know that A Girl and a Glue Gun has designated today, February 19th, as National Leave a Comment Day?! I would love some comment love, and I know she would too!

I’m a doodler, I have a slight obsession with Sharpies (we’re talking at least one hundred of them, in all sizes and colors), and these mugs are super adorable. I am totally in love with the Harry Potter mug!

Hello, 2013 + Handmade Happy Hour Linky Party

I’m back, friends. Did you miss me? :-) After a fun, relaxing week off from blogland, to spend some much needed quality time with my family, I’m ready to get back into the swing of things!

Looking back, 2012 was quite a year for me. I started my blog, only to have it screw up on me. I also started my Handmade Parties to Go shop, and then pulled the plug on it.

I started to settle into my new life in California as a stay-at-home mom – which has to be the hardest thing I’ve ever done. But, I do like the fact that it has allowed me to start crafting again – something I love to do and am looking forward to continuing this year.

The hubby and I went on a much needed work trip/vacation to Las Vegas, where we attended the Scentsy Family Convention and then hung out for a few extra days.

I also shared our family’s struggles with you, including learning to adjust to the expensive cost of living in California, having to take Goose out of preschool, my sister-in-law’s fight with cancer (which, I’m happy to say, she is now an official CANCER SURVIVOR!) and Monkey’s diagnosis of Sensory Processing Disorder.

And, I had several excited things happening on the blog, including my weekly Style Report for Sugar and Dots and the addition of my linky party, Handmade Happy Hour.

Which brings us to today – New Year’s Day. January 1, 2013. I’m not one for resolutions, simply because there are always so many things that I can need to work on. I simply just strive to be a better person with each new year than the last. :-)

But, if I had to choose some blog resolutions they would be: to become more organized, and to post more recipes and crafts for you. Which brings us to the first Handmade Happy Hour linky party of the year! I’m looking forward to seeing what you have been up to!

A few reminders before linking up for this weeks’ Handmade Happy Hour Linky Party:

December Sponsor All Call!

Hello friends! I hope you had a fun and relaxing (haha) Thanksgiving with your friends and family.

We definitely had a blast at Disneyland. :-)

Photobucket

While I haven’t taken part in the Black Friday craziness at the stores, I have looked at a few deals online, and I’m offering my own Scentsy Family Black Friday Specials through Monday at midnight. Contact me if you are interested!

So, now that you are (hopefully) back in the comfort of your home, maybe in your jammies with coffee close by (that may or may not be me…), you’ve probably got extra time to surf the bloggy world. Definitely one of my favorite things to do!

I’m sure you’ve seen these posts all over the bloggy world during the last couple of weeks, and today is my day to send an “all call” to anyone who is looking to increase traffic to their blog, shop, or site.

Photobucket

Winter brings colder temperatures, which means more people snuggled up inside, which means more people on the computer shopping and killing time, which means more traffic for everyone! I would love to have you as a sponsor, which only helps us support each other.

I have several exciting things planned for Polka Dots and Lemonade readers, including guest posts, giveaways, holiday craft tutorials, linky parties, recipes, and more!

There are a few options available for sponsorship, which you can learn more about HERE. I use Passionfruit Ads for all of my Sweet Sponsor fun, which I love, and I know you will too.
And, in the spirit of the Black Friday/Cyber Monday shopping weekend, I’m offering sponsor discounts:
  • Friday, November 23 enter the code BLACKFRIDAY upon checkout to receive 40% off your ad space
  • Saturday, November 24 and Sunday, November 25 enter the code SMALLBIZSATURDAY upon checkout to receive 30% off your ad space
  • Monday, November 26 enter the code CYBERMONDAY upon checkout to receive 20% off your ad space
Thank you so much to my current sponsors and readers, and any newbies who have recently joined us. I truly appreciate all of you!
