My Life in Photos

Last night we took the girls to Meet the Teacher night for their preschool.

It is sooooo hard to believe how big they are getting! Time goes by way to fast!

Happy Sunday!

My trips to the store with the girls now result in bribery. With an iPad.

Doesn’t this just seem all sorts of wrong? But, hey, a mom’s gotta do what a mom’s gotta do!

Any other moms out there that can relate? I would love to hear your bribery methods!

Happy Wednesday!

We had spaghetti for dinner. You can obviously see that the girls enjoyed it – particularly Monkey!

The hubby (aka, daddy) was out for the night. That can only mean one thing:

It’s a Domino’s Delivery Night!

Is It Tomorrow, Yet?

Today, my friends, has been a day. And by that, I mean it’s been A. DAY.

To start with, I woke up late, so spent the first 30 minutes of my day rushing around, trying to get showered (hallelujah!), get the girls fed and dressed, and then out the door to take Goose Face to preschool.

I walk out the door to finally load them in the car, and this is what I find (and yes, it really is that messy pretty much all the time):

I all but stomped and grumbled, all the way back into the house, as my hubby is calling to let me know that the car seats are not in the car. Yes, I know. Thanks for the heads up.

So, I figure I’ll just let the girls play outside. It can’t really be THAT hot, can it?

Holy crap, it is. And it looks like it’s only going to get worse for the next couple of days.

Change of plans (again!). We decide to hang out in the playroom and have some fun. And then, I walked away for all of 2 minutes and I came back to this:

I swear, this friggin’ playroom never stays clean. I can spend all day cleaning it up, and the girls are following right behind me, dumping everything out again.

But, how can I be mad about the mess when Goose and Monkey are so darn cute?!

To top it off (although it’s really not that bad, other than just being one more thing to add to today’s list), I went to get the mail and I found that the mushroom garden was back in my front yard.

I cannot get rid of these little guys for the life of me – no matter what I do! (Suggestions, anyone….).

And so, I am now resorting to this:

It’s my second of the day. :-) I had forgotten to put a few in the fridge, so I had to pour it over ice.

Vodka would be a great end to the day. But, of course, I’m out. Awesome.

Tomorrow can only get better!

Happy Tuesday!

Update: As my sweet friend, Nichole (Yeung Mother Hubbard) pointed out to me…I did have something GREAT happen today. I got a ticket to The SoCal Social!! I’m super excited!! Thanks, Nichole!

:Photo A Day Challenge: Logo and Writing

I officially suck at the photo a day challenge! My life just seems to get so crazy, and before I know it I have no idea where the day went!

So, here’s my “catch-up” from yesterday.

The challenge was “logo.” This is my logo. :-)

And, here is my photo for today.

Because it is already 8:15, and the hubby is annoyed that I’m on the computer instead of eating my dinner, I quickly snapped a photo of “writing.” This was a Scentsy order, lying on the counter! If you look closely, you can see that Goose Face added her own “writing” to the top.

Happy Monday!

As usual, our little family spent part of the weekend at Disneyland!

King Arthur’s Carousel is one of our favorite rides. Such a classic!

What is your favorite ride at Disneyland?

My Life In Photos

Over the weekend, some of our very good friends came in to town. It was so awesome to see them, especially because we have been pretty secluded out here in California since moving here a few months ago. It is SO hard to meet people and make new friends!

We went to Disneyland (of course) with them on Friday, and then drove around Los Angeles on Saturday. We hit up several “tourist” spots – Hollywood Blvd., Rodeo Drive, Santa Monica Pier, etc.

One new thing that we did was head up to Griffith Observatory. We’ve always heard about it, but haven’t had the chance to make it out there yet.

Let me tell you – it was amazing. The views of the city (although the smog here is completely disgusting – it’s something you have to see to believe!) are incredible. Looking out over the hills is such a breathtaking sight.

Being the self-proclaimed “celebrity whore” that I am, though, my favorite view was of the Hollywood sign.

I have to admit – I’m in love with Hollywood. While this might not be the best view from Griffith Observatory, it was by far my favorite! And, yes, I’ve seen the Hollywood sign on numerous occasions before, but never like this.

Happy Tuesday!

Not only do I have a tub pooper, but I also have a sand muncher. Unfortunately, they are one and the same.

This was from the beach a couple of weeks ago, but today I walked outside and she was eating the sand from the sand table as if it was the best thing she’d ever eaten. And, this is my child who loves Beet Salad! Go figure.

Being a sand muncher and a tub pooper definitely makes things very interesting. I’m pretty sure there’s no other explanation needed on this one.

Happy Monday!
